How To Transition From SureStart to Self Sufficiency

I trust we got you off to a good start with our SureStart programme. We may have implemented the first process for you, or we may have done the work together with you. Either way, the learning continues, to ensure that a SureStart turns into Self Sufficiency.

As you know, FlowForma BPM is a self-service no-code tool designed to be used by business analysts, and there’s typically no need for IT to get involved at all. Once you have an idea of how processes can be “translated” from paper-based forms to online FlowForma BPM forms, the rest is a piece of cake.

But how do you get to that stage where the configuration of a new process literally is just a matter of a few days? The answer is practice, common sense, simple and clear user documentation, and possibly a training course to piece it all together – or a helping hand if you get stuck.

Once we have configured the first process, you can use that one as a good template to compare with when configuring new processes. Chances are, you’ll have examples of most things you’ll need to do.

And for the things you don’t know how to do, we have plenty of resources available to helpLet’s start with our online user documentation - you’ll quickly learn that there’s a question mark up in the top right corner. If you click on that, our user documentation opens. Better still, if you click on the question mark when you have, let’s say “generate document” open, it’ll open the relevant documentation for that specific topic.

The documentation is written in Plain English. It’s simple and to the point; yet it covers everything you need to know. Where examples are better used to describe a feature, we have added that either in a written format or as a how-to video, so there is plenty of material for you to use, and it’s all available in one place.

We understand that reading documentation is not for everyone. Time is precious, and some people simply learn better by trying. Rest assured, we can help you with that too. We run training classes on a regular basis in Dublin (actual classroom training), and we offer the training remotely as well, if traveling to Dublin isn’t an option. We schedule courses based on demand, so let us know if you’d like to be added to the waiting list.

We’re also working on converting our classroom training into an online training course, so watch this space for more detail!

All training modules are created to explain “what”, demo “how”, and allow plenty of practice. Time passes quickly, but we’ll ensure you implement a couple of small processes during the training time.

It’s hardly a surprise that the more you use FlowForma BPM, the quicker and easier it will be to implement business processes – even complicated processes. Our expert team of analysts do this every single day, and if you wish, you can get a few hours every month of their guidance with an advisory support contract. This has proved to be a very efficient way to work, as you can use our team to sense check your solutions, make sure you follow best practice, and get a bit of assistance if you find a particular process to be trickier than expected to configure.

Think of it as having a FlowForma analyst as an extended member of your team

There’s no right and wrong – it’s just a matter of finding out what works best for you.

Whichever way you prefer to work, get in touch to review your options, so we can get you on the road to Self Suffiency.
