FlowForma and the Microsoft ecosystem
FlowForma is a no-code process automation platform that runs natively within Microsoft 365 and SharePoint. You can use FlowForma to replace Power Automate and Power Apps for business process automation, or use it alongside them as part of your existing Microsoft setup.
FlowForma adds a structured, business-focused layer for automating processes, including forms, workflows, document generation, approvals and audit trails. Everything runs within your Microsoft 365 environment, so you can automate and manage business processes without moving away from the tools and infrastructure you already use.
Power Automate
Power Automate handles connector-based automation between apps and systems. FlowForma runs the structured business processes with forms, multi-stage approvals, and audit trails that Power Automate typically needs Power Apps and Dataverse to complete.
Most customers keep Power Automate for system-to-system tasks, FlowForma for human-centric workflows.
Power Apps
FlowForma and Power Apps solve different problems inside Microsoft 365. Power Apps is a general-purpose low-code app builder for custom internal applications.
FlowForma is a process-first no-code platform for structured business workflows, forms, and approvals.
Many organizations run both, one for bespoke apps, the other for repeatable business processes.
SharePoint
FlowForma is native to SharePoint. Workflow data, forms and documents all stay inside your SharePoint environment, using existing lists, libraries, and permissions. There's no separate database, no external tenant, and no data migration involved to start automating processes on top of your SharePoint estate.
Microsoft Teams
FlowForma workflows run natively inside Microsoft Teams. Approvals, forms, notifications, and process status updates are all delivered directly in Teams channels and chats as adaptive cards, so users act on workflows without switching applications.
The FlowForma platform data continues to live in SharePoint alongside everything else.
Dynamics 365
FlowForma connects to Dynamics 365 through its integrations layer. CRM and ERP events (opportunity approvals, quote sign-off, customer status changes) can be routed through a FlowForma workflow and delivered to approvers in Teams, with decisions written back to Dynamics automatically. Dynamics stays as the system of record, and FlowForma handles the human workflow.
Why teams choose FlowForma across their Microsoft stack
The advantage of running FlowForma across the Microsoft 365 stack is that structured business process automation lives in one platform, rather than fragmented across three or four Microsoft products. Forms, workflow, document generation, integrations, and audit trails all sit together, and all of it runs inside your existing Microsoft 365 tenant. IT gets one automation platform to govern, and business users get one place to build and maintain their workflows.
